Unlike most other scooters that are on a smaller, almost kid-sized platform, this Kickbike is designed to feel more like a traditional adult bicycle. I like to call this a ‘familiar-surprise’, as it is very similar to a regular bike, yet delivers a completely new experience.
This newest electrified model has kept the popular look and feel of their adult kick scooters, still allowing the rider to kick as before, to either get a solid low impact workout or to add to the already impressive 15-25 miles per charge.
Of course, no kicking is necessary on this high tech new model. A simple push of the thumb propels you to a top speed of 19mph in mere seconds. Power is delivered via a 36V, 10.4Ah lithium ion battery that fully charges in less than 3.5 hours and has built in USB that can charge your devices when you are out exploring. A barely noticeable 380 watt BAFANG SWXK brushless motor is beautifully laced into the front wheel, which is wrapped with upgraded Kenda Flame tires that offer amazing performance. A back lit LCD display keeps track of all your vital information such as miles traveled, speed, temperature, battery life and a great new feature that shows wattage used in real time, so you can actively manage your battery life by kick assisting in high watt situations like going up hills. It also has 5 speed levels that you can easily adjust depending on just how fast you want to go.
Waterproof wire connections, ergonomic gel grips, stronger kickstand and an extra wide foot board that allows both feet side by side, round out the upgrades.
All the new components are blended in beautifully, with the wires snuggly hugging the sleek frame and mostly hidden from sight. As with all Kickbikes, you will have front and rear hand brakes like you are used to on your regular bicycle. The wraparound beach cruiser style handlebars come to you, allowing for a perfect vertical riding position. Gone are the sore back and butt days of sitting on a bike. Instead, you simply step on and take off. The seamless way that you can step on and off as needed is really something that you have to experience for yourself. When riding in high traffic areas like busy sidewalks, you will find yourself doing an effortless dance of walking and scooting as you quickly carve your way through.
Unlike electric bikes where the handlebars are always in sight, the natural standing position on the Kickbike delivers an unobstructed view that gives you a surreal feeling as you smoothly glide around. It’s almost as if you are floating inches off the ground. It’s pretty cool!
At less than 35 pounds, the Kickbike eCruise is far lighter than comparable electric bikes, so carrying up stairs or throwing in the back of your car is a breeze. Contrary to complicated electric bikes, the minimalist nature of the Kickbike makes maintenance a snap. No greasy chain that can snap leaving you stranded, no uncomfortable seat, no complex derailleur and gears…Kickbike gives you only what you need and nothing else.
What you get is a slick looking, comfortable to ride, electric scooter with just the right amount of speed and power, that is made for adults of all sizes and ages. I can see this one making some big waves in the increasingly interesting electric scooter race.

The eCruise is the 5th different model of Kickbike I have purchased since 2002 (Millenium Racer, Cross Country, G4 and Fat Max). It is also the most fun! I like the more upright stance afforded by the handlebar design. It also has the larger footpad that I like about the Fat Max. The motor works great. It really helps on the uphills we have here in the Ozarks. No longer do I need to push the bike up these hills. The motor also allows me to make much longer trips. I have used it to access deeply forested areas on two track trails that I used to have to hike in to. The motor gives you confidence that you always have the energy to get back to base camp. The tires work equally great for me on pavement, dirt tracks, mud and sand. The caliper brakes are much nicer than I’ve had on previous models. With the motor assist you can kick much longer without having to change legs. I plan on using the eCruise to access my backcountry hunting and fishing spots. It is also wonderful for just cruising the neighborhood. My wife liked it so much, she claimed it for herself. I had to order an additional eCruise for myself.

I’ve owned my eCruise for nine months and the headline is this baby is Tony-the-Tiger “Greattttt!!!!!”.
I use this in the urban-environment near downtown Austin for errands including grocery store runs thanks to the Burley Nomad cargo trailer I installed via an attachment to the back axle. It’s also a fun ride on the hike-and-bike trails without getting disapproving stares (the pure-electric scooters you rent are not allowed). I primarily rely on the motor, though when an incline slows the 250w motor down to less than 8 mph then I give it a-little-to-a-lot assist. You can get a good workout in with this if you want. Other numbers to share…
While the specs say the rider should not exceed 250 lbs, I’m not proud to type that I can put three-spins on a scale and I am 6’0″ tall. I am proud to write that the eCruise can take me on a 15-mile ride that has an elevation gain of 800 feet (again, it received some assists from me but nothing heroic). On level ground I’ve set the max. speed to 17.5 MPH for battery-assist, and going down one hill that has an -8% slope (or 125 foot drop over a half-mile) gravity can get me going to 35 MPH. It takes about four hours to recharge the battery.
On the “I wish…” side of the ledger, the handle bars are almost too low. If they could be raised by a couple/three inches that would be more comfortable. Not bad engineering, for this is primarily designed to be pushed by your legs; however, that’s not the majority of the time for me. I also wish this motor was 500w. Love this so much that my last wish is for the Fat Max to be outfitted with a 750w motor.
Knocking off of one star is because of the undersized motor (that is probably not fair given my weight) and the price tag, otherwise, this is a fun excuse to leave the car in the garage and cruise the neighborhood like a kid again.

I have to admit…I was skeptical about the kickbike concept, but it has won me over! We bought 3 eCruise kickbikes for our family and we are loving them. The bikes are not exactly cheap, but a pretty good value when you consider the price of a higher end ebike. My wife and 14 year old daughter, neither who are strong bike riders, had no trouble hopping on and taking off on the eCruise. They are super easy to use and very stable. We have also been impressed with the electric motor performance, including the battery life. Overall, the purchasing and ownership experience was very positive and the customer support has been great. Would highly recommend the eCruise.

Worth every penny. I have had my E-cruise for about 9 months and love it. I used to ride a recumbent until a back fusion with 2 rods and 6 screws put me on the side lines, This new e-cruise has got me back out on the road and the core workout I get using it is fabulous! No hills that I have not been able to handle with the electric assist. As my wife still works and we have one car, this is my main transportation! Great assembly instructions and customer support from Jordan. Battery life is great, but I kick a lot and only use the motor as an assist. Get lots of comments on how cool the bike looks and rides, and yes I have given a lot of people a chance to try it! They always walk away with a smile on there face😁 Solidly built and worth every penny! You will not be disappointed.
